Walther Ppks 380 Serial Number Lookupits a Walther PP in 7.65 (.32?) There are very few markings on it ,a few stamps of acceptance and the matching serial numbers. The usual Walther' scroll and model designation are not on the slide - nor does it appear to have been re-blued, I read that this was a wartime procedure to speed up manufacture, but I dont know. 
Walther uses the Tenifer finish similar to Glock pistols. After that, the slide is laser-engraved with serial numbers and proof markings before going to final assembly and testing. At the assembly stations, each technician's table has a 5-step process for assembling the slide and frame components.
